A few years ago, I attended a trade show where I saw a lovely, life-size sculpture made with t-shirts dipped in a fabric hardener called Paverpol. Enthralled, I registered for a workshop and got hooked.
Paverpol is a non-toxic, environmental friendly fabric hardener used to make both indoor and outdoor sculptures, abstract objects, wall art, vases, decorative items, animals, jewelry, masks ... the list is endless. Anyone can turn a simple fabric into an amazing outdoor object. Fabric is dipped in Paverpol and wrapped around a sturdy base. After two weeks of indoor curing, the object can be placed outside. Now that I'm retired, I can explore my artistic side, combine it with my love of teaching, and share Paverpol with others. I focus on providing high-quality sculptures that can be displayed indoors or outdoors. Each one is handmade and the end result is a fabric sculpture made with natural fibre materials and textile-hardener, set on stone, bricks or wood. They are finished with a high end varnish that protects them all year round from the outdoor elements. These fun loving garden sculptures will bring a unique and exquisite beauty to you (or a friend) either in an outdoor garden or special place in the home. Interested in taking a class?
